I got my wisdom teeth out on Tuesday. All 4 of them. They’ve been bothering me for a while now and 2 of them, though impacted, were also erupted, so I was desperate to get them out before I went back to school. Unfortunately, I got whacked with a cold just after Christmas, so I had to postpone their removal until last week.

The surgery itself was cake. I don’t remember a second of it thanks to nitrous oxide and a bit of IV stuff. The aftermath wasn’t all that enjoyable, but I’m mostly back to normal now. I still haven’t eaten anything solid, which isn’t that fun, but I’m almost there. I can’t wait to have chicken, or rice, or, well, anything that can be chewed! My guess is that I’ll be back to 100% by this weekend.

Other than that, I’ve spent a good deal of time watching Food Network, History Channel, and some random other stuff. Though I hate to admit it – reality shows are a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. I’ve been following Miss America Reality Check and Project Runway 4, to name a few. I’ve also watched more movies than I can remember and fallen asleep in the middle of more movies than that!

I’m headed back to school on Wednesday. I have to go back early because Editorial Compet for The Sun starts Wednesday night, so I have to be there for that. If I haven’t mentioned before, I’m running for Photography Editor of The Cornell Daily Sun. Should be fun!

Well, just wanted to check in to let you know I’m still alive and stuff. Hopefully I’ll have more to talk about once I get back to school and actually have some interesting things going on. Or maybe I’ll have a fun purchase to report on after tomorrow’s MacWorld announcements. Or, if times get tough, I’ll just report on my first meal of solid foods ;). Let’s hope I don’t have to stoop that low!

Until next time…
